On March 25, Aristocrat Interactive announced the launch of Caesars Ultimate Stars in partnership with Aristocrat Interactive.
The original Ultimate Stars was a soccer-themed slot by Roxor Gaming, which was acquired by Aristocrat in 2023. The new version has been upgraded with new graphics, promoting the Caesars Sportsbook & Casino brand.
A Caesars Theme, But Familiar Gameplay
The gameplay of Ultimate Stars and Caesars Ultimate Stars is virtually identical, just “reimagined” as a Caesars product with custom jersey images.
Caesars Ultimate Stars is a 5-reel, 20-payline slot with various symbols:
- Low symbols: 10, J, Q, K, A
- High symbols: Stars, Lucky 7s, Soccer Jerseys
- Wild: Trophy
- Scatter: Soccer Ball
Caesars Ultimate Stars also has a true persistence mechanic that increases the return of the Free Spins bonus each time it’s triggered — but only once daily.
Within the game, there’s a Matchball Bonus—also known as the Hold-and-Respin round—that you can unlock should you land 3 or more soccer ball symbols.
- 3 Balls = 10 Spins
- 4 Balls = 15 Spins
- 5 Balls = 20 Spins
During this bonus, the reels will continue to spin, and you’ll attempt to collect more soccer balls. Each of these possesses a cash-on-reels value.
As you collect more of them, the reel grid expands. It can go up to 6×5 when you collect 18 balls. This will also provide you with three more spins.
Matchball Bonus and Player Symbols
Sticking with the Matchball Bonus, there’s a reward for the first time you win it in a given day.
This results in a Jersey upgrade hanging above the reels. You can do this five times, and you won’t lose an upgrade once you’ve earned it. This feature makes the Matchball Bonus even more valuable, impacting the RTP.
Also, when the Matchball Bonus begins, up to five different players will be revealed. Only the active players that are shown can appear on the reels.

Although the Matchball Bonus improves the overall RTP, the baseline isn’t anything to get overly excited about at just 92.29%. After a fifth upgrade, it can reach 94%, a modest increase of about 1.7%.
