The legal framework for Maryland sports betting includes a special class of license that allows smaller businesses to take part in the activity. One of those companies, Maryland’s pool bar Top Hat Sports Bar & Grill, is introducing its sportsbook with the of sports betting and online gambling technology company Elys Game Technology.
Elys has teamed up with the Top Hat Sports Bar & Grill’s owner, Bookmakers, LLC, to provide land-based sports betting services to the bar’s brand-new sportsbook.
According to the agreement, Elys will receive a percentage of all sports betting revenue generated pending final regulatory approval of the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission.
Bookmakers partners with Elys Game Technology in Maryland
Bookmakers’ Top Hat Sports Bar & Grill has been in business for more than 30 years. The place features a sports bar and a lounge deck area with games like pool, table tennis and various slot machines.
Karen Senac, the owner of Bookmakers, LLC, commented:

Top Hat Sports Bar & Grill as a top location to use Elys’ technology
Elys Game Technology offers a full suite of leisure gaming products and services, such as sports betting, e-sports, virtual sports, online casino, poker, bingo and slots. It is present in five US states as well as the District of Columbia.
After ing forces with Bookmakers, Elys will provide the required technology to launch the new bar in exchange for a percentage of the sportsbook revenue.

Elys Game Technology recently partnered with Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort, located in Chesapeake Beach on the Western edge of the Chesapeake Bay.
The Top Hat Sports Bar & Grill and the Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort are among the local businesses approved as Class B entities and awaiting a retail sports betting license.
