Genting Americas’ building of its Resorts World Hudson Valley is well underway. The company’s $32 million New York casino project is almost ready to become an “ultimate destination” for all its guests.
Located in the Newburgh Mall in Orange County, NY, the ongoing expansion is about to turn the 90,000-square-foot space into a gaming and entertainment venue, replacing the space left from The Bon-Ton store.
The facility will feature over 1,000 video lottery terminals, electronic table games, as well as a sports bar promoting online sports betting through the Resorts World Bet app.
What’s more, the project also promises new jobs and public funding.

The much-anticipated Resorts World Hudson Valley is set to open later this fall in Newburgh. Resorts World Catskills is making a new gambling hall, announcing an unmatched luxury entertainment experience for all its visitors.
If everything goes according to plan, the entertainment hub will be open 20 hours a day, offering classic blackjack, craps, roulette, and numerous slot machines. It’s one part of a larger expansion of gambling in the state. Over the next few years, three more casinos will open in the southern part of the state.
In addition, the venue will feature a 360-degree bar, with eight televisions screening major sporting events.
Officially named “Resorts WorldBET Sports Bar,” the place will be a social hub for locals to relax and hang out with friends and place online bets.
Resorts World Casino promises new jobs for the locals
Although an official opening date is still unknown due to supply chain delays, Resorts World Casino promises many opportunities for community growth once it opens.
Senator James Skoufis said:
“When Resorts World first approached me nearly two years ago seeking for a proposal to bring a gaming center to Orange County, I made my priorities clear to them: jobs, revitalizing a blight, and local community benefits. This project does all three.”
The casino’s operation plans to create over 200 full-time jobs, primarily union employees with an average annual wage of about $72,000. The company will also need 200 workers involved in the casino’s construction.
An estimated $65 million will be given to the New York Lottery Education Fund annually to public schools.
In addition, $3 million will go to the Town of Newburgh every year, benefiting the Newburgh Public Safety Fund and community projects.
