[toc]The burgeoning New Jersey online gambling market just got a little busier.

On Thursday of this week, MGM Resorts International officially announced the launch of its playMGM real-money online gaming site in the Garden State.

The two MGM Resorts-branded gaming sites launched include playMGMcasino and playMGMpoker.

MGM Resorts International COO Corey Sanders said in a release:

“We are thrilled to be entering the online gaming landscape in New Jersey with the expansion of our playMGM.com platform to include both casino and poker games. The ability to effectively bring Las Vegas to New Jersey via an online experience is an exciting undertaking, especially as we continue to develop our presence on the East Coast with the recent acquisition of Borgata, the opening of MGM National Harbor and the pending 2018 opening of MGM Springfield in Massachusetts.”

MGM In New Jersey

MGM bought out partner Boyd Gaming’s 50 percent interest in Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, NJ last year. At the time, the company immediately expressed an interest in jumping into the NJ online gaming sphere. New Jersey is one of only three states to have enacted legislation legalizing online gambling, including Delaware. However, Nevada has only authorized sports betting apps and online poker operations.

In May of this year, MGM announced it would be launching playMGM branded online poker and casino sites under Borgata’s internet gaming operator’s license by the end of the calendar year.

Of course, Borgata has been licensed to conduct internet gaming operations in the state since the market launched in 2013. It hosts a number of top NJ online casino and poker sites under its license, including:

Borgata also hosts the recently launched Scores online casino, an skin of the Pala Casino featuring the adult entertainment company’s branding.

Additionally, playMGMpoker offers daily and weekly poker tournaments with guaranteed prizepools, sit and go tournaments and cash games. The online poker site is sharing player pools with the existing Borgata Poker and partypokerNJ sites.

The playMGM welcome package

The launch of the sites also comes with a generous welcome package for new s. The playMGMcasino is offering new players $25 in promotional play and a 100 percent first deposit match of up to $2,000 with a 20-times wagering requirement.

In the meantime, new players at playMGMpoker are eligible to receive a $25 bonus, including $10 in online cash and $15 in online tournament dollars. The poker site is also offering a 100 percent deposit match of up to $2,000.

Desktop and mobile apps available

Both sites are available for desktop s. Plus, they have launched with mobile gaming apps available for iOS and Android devices.

Like all online gambling operations in New Jersey, the MGM-branded online casino and poker sites are open to all New Jersey residents and visitors currently inside the state’s borders.
