A lucky Las Vegas casino player won the largest Pai Gow progressive jackpot worth a whopping $6,443,401.

The massive win occurred on Saturday at the Flamingo Las Vegas Casino. It is the first major jackpot in Las Vegas since the beginning of the year.

The Las Vegas Strip venue posted the big win on its Twitter :

A replica check shown in the photo was addressed to Thomas Evans Zanot.

The Flamingo Las Vegas owner, Caesars Entertainment, was also stated in the upper left corner of the check.

Player hits winning combination using the joker

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the player won with a straight flush, using the joker.

The winning cards were the 8, 9, 10, jack, queen, and ace of spades.

Pai Gow Poker players get seven cards from the dealer at the beginning of the game. After one draw, they make a two-card low hand and a five-card high hand, each as high as possible.

Once the record-breaking Pai Gow progressive jackpot was hit, security escorted the lucky player on his way out. The casino has then reset the progressive jackpot to $300,000.

With $1.12M earnings, Zanot is 2,089th on the All-Time Money List

The Pai Gow jackpot winner is a Las Vegas local and poker pro. He is originally from Arizona and has been an active player since 2014.

According to the Hendon Mob, Thomas Zanot has won $1.120,076 million in live poker tournaments to date.

Zanot previously participated in the $9,800 + 600 No Limit Hold ’em – WPT World Championship at the World Poker Tour Championship in Las Vegas. He finished 33rd. The championship was held at the Wynn Las Vegas on Dec.12, 2022, for the $99,600 prize.

His best cash at the poker table has been $162.3K. He won the $565 No Limit Hold ’em – Main Event The Gardens Poker Classic featuring Poker Night in America, Los Angeles (Sept.16, 2017).

Zanot is 2,089th on the All-Time Money list.

Previous wins at Flamingo Casino Las Vegas

The Flamingo Las Vegas saw several other wins at the end of last year.

In November, a Las Vegas local, Brent Weiss, won $465,945 while playing a Mississippi Stud poker game at the Flamingo. It was a progressive jackpot, too, and he won with a royal flush.

Another player was lucky to hit $187,542 while playing Let It Ride poker at the Flamingo in October. It was a progressive jackpot, and the unnamed player won with a royal flush.

Likewise, in October, another unnamed gamer scored $288,024 through a progressive jackpot at the Flamingo. Again, the winning hand was a royal flush in a Crazy-4 poker game.
