After receiving regulatory approval, a Jackpocket online casino app might be ready to make its official debut in New Jersey.
On April 28, Jackpocket Interactive Gaming (JIG) received approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) to finish working on its access agreement with Caesars.
In 2021, Jackpocket reached an agreement with Caesars Interactive Entertainment and its retail casino, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City.
Caesars and Jackpocket need to iron out technical details and licensing first
According to DGE Director David L. Rebuck, the division is approving limited parts of Jackpocket’s agreement with Caesars.
In a statement posted by NJ.gov, Rebuck said: “The parties require additional technical and licensing approval to effectuate any other portion of the Agreement.”
Although Jackpocket’s New Jersey online casino won’t launch anytime soon, Rebuck’s comments show the company is moving in the right direction.
Jackpocket online casino is a long time coming
The lottery ticket courier has been working on its online casino app for at least two years.
On March 9, the company White Hat Gaming to help build its payment infrastructure.
In a La Fleur’s post, Tony Vartanian, chief growth and revenue officer at Jackpocket, said:
“As we continue to innovate and bring our Jackpocket s new gaming experiences beyond Lottery, we set out to identify a platform partner that could accelerate our 2023 Online Casino launch in New Jersey. Specifically, one that would enable our teams to deliver an exceptional product experience that our s have grown to expect from us.”
Jackpocket is primarily a lottery ticket courier app based in New York City. Lottery ticket buyers can use Jackpocket in several states, including New Jersey and New York.

Entering the New Jersey online gambling market
In 2021, the company announced in a press release it was expanding into online gambling via an iGaming license in New Jersey. The news came after the company wrapped up $120 million in financing.
Additionally, Jackpocket has signed multiple partnerships with professional and collegiate sports teams.
