Rivers Casino and Turning Stone Casino are hosting hiring events and offering prime benefits for new employees, including free training, lower apartment rent and bus es.
Turning Stone Casino jobs include employee-subsidized housing
Turning Stone Resort Casino, nestled in Verona, NY, is not only offering jobs but also employee-subsidized housing, a key benefit among the affordable housing and inflation crises in the US. The casino is looking to hire positions like cooks, chefs, table game dealers and other hospitality workers interested in working at the facility.

Turning Stone says its new apartment complex represents central New York’s first-ever employee community. Situated conveniently near Oneida’s Turning Stone Resort & Casino, The Villages at Stoney Creek is a $15 million apartment complex featuring 50 apartments. Each home has in-unit laundry, parking, and round-trip shuttle service to Turning Stone.
Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Oneida Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter said:
“The Villages at Stoney Creek is a great opportunity to put new employees in a position to launch new careers, while also building up some savings in the process.”
Subsidized monthly rents are $550 for a one-bedroom, $650 for a two-bedroom and $750 for a three-bedroom unit.
For example, according to Rent.com data, those moving from Rochester, NY and Albany can save $8,400 – $9,000 a year on a one-bedroom apartment, plus the additional savings from not having any commuting costs. The casino also gives employees bus es to help them get back and forth to work if they don’t want to drive or don’t have a car.
Regarding salaries, cooks can earn $17-$20 per hour, whereas table games dealers can make $20-$25 per hour. The employer also offers a 401(k), health care and tuition reimbursement.
The push comes as Turning Stone, owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation, decided to expand its team, adding 400 new positions since January.
Rivers Casino opens 20 job positions
Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady, NY, is looking to fill 20 open table game dealer positions.
Starting Aug. 22, the casino will host a Dealer’s Academy for six weeks, and candidates will receive free training.
The Dealer’s Academy course will teach candidates various table games, including blackjack and Texas Hold ’em. Candidates who make it to the final round will receive a New York State gaming license and be offered a part-time or full-time job, depending on their skills and preferences.
While the company is looking to hire candidates at all levels, from beginners to experienced workers, all applicants must be 21 or older. All interested candidates can apply here. Potential employees should be flexible to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

The casino is part of the Mohawk Harbor project, a 60-acre community that integrates luxury living, high-tech offices, restaurants and retail along one mile of the waterfront. Rivers Casino is owned by Rush Street Interactive (RSI) and opened its doors in 2017.
