An interactive gaming and sports betting company, Elys Game Technology, announced a partnership agreement with Partnersat7238thstse, LLC. The agreement will allow Elys to operate a Washington DC sportsbook at The Ugly Mug restaurant and bar, offering in-person sports betting.

The Ugly Mug serves a classic American-styled menu within a casual atmosphere. It is located at 723 8th St SE, Washington, DC, only ten blocks from Nationals Stadium and near Capitol Hill.

Michele Ciavarella, Elys Executive Chairman, said via press release:

“We are delighted to partner with Gaynor Jablonski and his team to operate a sportsbook at The Ugly Mug restaurant and bar conveniently located only blocks from Nationals Stadium in Washington, DC.”

Elys commits to ing local businesses by operating licensed sportsbooks

The company’s latest partnership also represents a growing contribution to small and local businesses in sports betting opportunities.

As Ciavarella commented: “By fostering partnerships in local establishments such as The Ugly Mug, Elys brings together vibrant environments with a professionally managed sports betting enterprise. This combination can connect fans and friends together to revel in sports events while enjoying a meal and beverage.”

“We firmly believe that this successful combination can contribute economic benefits to small business entrepreneurs across the nation and boost resources for state and local amenities and infrastructure.”

Elys’ eighth execution of its in-person Washington DC sportsbook

If successfully licensed, the agreement with The Ugly Mug would be Elys’ eighth in-person sportsbook in Washington, DC. Elys previously received approval from the DC Department of Small & Local Business Development for its Ozio Lounge sportsbook, BetDupont.

Apart from running the business in DC, Elys operates in five US states, including Ohio. When Ohio launched its sports betting market two months ago, Elys got vendor license approval for five years.
