Just in time for the 2022 NCAA D1 basketball Final Four, people in the greater St. Louis area will have a new place to bet on and catch the action. The anticipated DraftKings Sportsbook at Casino Queen renovation is complete.
DraftKings Sportsbook at Casino Queen in East St. Louis, Illinois will open the new sports betting area on Tuesday, March 29. It should quickly become the destination for Illinois sports betting fans, whether they’re placing wagers or just want to drink and watch games.
Renovation details on DraftKings at Casino Queen in Illinois
The work has been ongoing at the casino for over a year since DraftKings acquired the casino in late 2020. Now, it’s ready for its closeup. Among the highlights of the renovated 6,000 square-foot space are:
- 31 high-definition televisions
- 38 betting kiosks
- a 6o-foot video wall
- Five betting windows
- VIP seating
“With this comprehensive renovation, we are introducing a new era of sports betting, sports viewing, and overall entertainment at DraftKings at Casino Queen,” said Terry Downey, President and CEO of CQ Holding Company, Inc., in a press release.
“Our relationship with DraftKings has allowed us to create an all-encoming, state-of-the-art space that will continue to add to Illinois’ excitement for sports wagering.”

In addition to being able to bet on sports, the array of viewing options creates an atmosphere conducive to taking in the events patrons wager on.
Highlights of DraftKings at Casino Queen
Within the new sportsbook area at DraftKings at Casino Queen, guests can enjoy beverages and food at a custom-designed bar. The menu should include appetizers, desserts, hand-tossed pizzas, salads, specialty burgers, and various entrees.
Interested patrons can secure VIP seating by ing the casino directly. Otherwise, the sportsbook will offer many other seating options on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to the volume of televisions, all seats have a view of the action.
On Tuesday, the sportsbook will become the second such collaboration between CQ Holdings, Inc. and DraftKings to open in a week’s time. On Thursday, the two opened a retail sportsbook inside the Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge.
Because of its location in the St. Louis metro and its amenities, the sportsbook inside DraftKings at Casino Queen might become the most successful of the two. Guests can see for themselves next week.
