This week, Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee opened its new Lightning Link Lounge. A 50-machine gaming area dedicated to two Aristocrat Gaming slot titles: Lightning Link and DragonLink. The Aristocrat lounge is the first of its kind in any Florida casino.
The area gives patrons access to two of Aristocrat’s most popular titles. One of which has produced multiple million-dollar winners this year.
Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee General Manager Tony Alves said the new lounge gives fans of the two slots titles an enhanced gaming experience.
“We are always exploring ways to enhance the player experience at Seminole Casino Hotel. This new Link Lounge concentrates 50 of the most popular games in the industry in one place, allowing players to more easily access these two top favorites.”
Florida casino lounge concept caters to Aristocrat faithful
The new Aristocrat room at the Immokalee property is split into two sides. On the left are Lightning Link machines, and on the right are Dragon Link machines.
Bringing the two games together in one area raises their profile. Because this is the only lounge of its kind in Florida. Patrons get a sense of exclusivity as they get to gamble in their special corner of the gaming floor.
“This lounge is a testament to our deep relationship with Seminole Gaming, and we look forward to continuing to bring the best games possible to their customers,” Aristocrat exec Tom O’Brien said in a statement.
The lounge concept, while new to Florida, isn’t new nationally. In April, Aristocrat launched a “Buffalo Zone” area at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino.
Tunica’s Gold Strike Casino Resort also opened a Buffalo Zone in the summer of 2021.
Dragon Link casino slots have made many millionaires in 2022
Dragon Link has been the most newsworthy slot title in the state this year. The game has produced at least eight $1 million progressive wins in Florida in 2022, according to PlayFL.
In August, a Seminole Casino Coconut Creek gambler won a $1,099,858.79 jackpot on a $25 bet.
In May, a Dragon Link player won a $1.3 million jackpot at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa.
And, in December 2021, a gambler won a $1 million Dragon Link jackpot. Eighteen days later, they won another $1 million jackpot playing Dragon Link.
Will there be more Aristocrat lounges in other Florida casinos?
While Aristocrat has made no statements about opening more lounges in Florida, we may see more. O’Brien referenced the company’s “deep relationship” with the Seminole tribe. And, the company has already opened three lounges in the South.
Aristocrat’s ties to the Seminole and the seeming success of its lounges point to expansion in the Sunshine State.
Dragon Link is currently available at 14 casinos in the state. Eleven of those 14 casinos are located in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area.
Of those 11 casinos, only three have more than 40 Dragon Link machines:
- Hard Rock Hollywood: 119
- Gulfstream Park: 56
- Seminole Classic Casino: 43
Those three casinos might be the best candidates for a new lounge. Of the three, Hard Rock Hollywood and Seminole Classic may be the most likely targets.
Aristocrat has yet to open a lounge at a horse track in Mississippi or Florida.
